Learn how to write more effective marketing copy on the Kickstart Your Copywriting course.
A fast-paced and practical one day copywriting course for anyone interested in writing more compelling marketing material. Find out the approaches and techniques used by professional copywriters; practise applying them yourself; exchange ideas and experiences with other delegates - all under the careful guidance of professional copywriter and trainer Sue Johnston.
Our one day Kickstart Your Copywriting course is aimed at anyone who needs to write 'selling' copy - sales material, brochures, website pages, direct mail etc. It will help you recognise different reading styles, put yourself in the shoes of your target audience and write copy that is very tightly focused on achieving your marketing objectives.
By the end of the course you will know how to:
- Apply a range of copywriting tools and techniques
- Turn features into interesting and engaging benefits
- Structure your material for clarity and relevance
- Focus on your core messages
- Write an effective sales letter, press release or emailer
- Understand how to improve your own copy
Kickstart Your Copywriting will give you a plan of attack (and enthusiasm) for your next copywriting challenge. This course suits in-house teams and works best with groups of up to ten. The course programme can also be customised to suit the particular needs of the group with industry relevant exercises and the inclusion of individual elements such writing for the web, proofreading and tone of voice.

About the trainer
Our resident trainer and consultant is Sue Johnston, The Writing Stable Managing Director.
Sue was a senior corporate marketing executive and a successful freelance copywriter for many years before establishing The Writing Stable in 2007.
She conducts all of our training courses, workshops and one-to-one sessions. Her practical and hands-on approach helps marketers put those key points into hard-hitting, sales-driven words. As well as training and consultancy, Sue also oversees writing projects - and keeps her own writing skills finely honed by taking on plenty of her own too.
